Lamar Jackson’s time with the Baltimore Ravens has been full of disrespect.
The team refused to meet his market value and salary pretensions, failing to make him a similar offer to what Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray got in terms of guaranteed money.
Jackson and the team went back and forth before he was placed under the non-exclusive franchise tag.
Then, for whatever reason, other teams expressed that they had no interest in pursuing him, which led multiple players and media members to believe that there was some sort of collusion behind that.
Now, Jackson took to Twitter to reveal that he actually requested a trade on March 2.
A letter to my Fans
I want to first thank you all for all of the love and support you consistently show towards me. All of you are amazing and I appreciate y’all so much. I want you all to know not to believe everything you read about me. Let me personally answer your questions

The team, however, has refused to engage in talks and find him a new home, as they fully intend to have him under center next season, regardless of his desire to leave.
Jackson addressed the fans to let them know that he doesn’t know what the future will hold for him, adding that he’ll always cherish and be thankful to them for all the love and support they’ve given him.
win the super bowl. You all are great but I had to make a business decision that was best for my family and I. No matter how far I go or where my career takes me, I’ll continue to be close to my fans of Baltimore Flock nation and the entire State of Maryland. You’ll See me again

There’s no denying that multiple teams would benefit from trading for one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but it feels like the Ravens are looking to make a statement with this situation.
Jackson’s durability will be a big red flag until he can prove that he can stay healthy, but having a disgruntled player at the most important position in the game might not be a winning formula for any team.
