Let’s face facts here: The Baltimore Ravens need Lamar Jackson way more than Lamar Jackson needs the Baltimore Ravens.
If they cannot reach an agreement and Jackson threatens to hold out or demands a trade, he’ll have no shortage of teams lining up to try and acquire his services.
The same cannot be said of the Ravens, a team with no weapons in the passing game and that would struggle to find a suitable replacement for their former MVP.
That’s why Ravens fans all over the world were raving and speculating after Jackson was spotted donning some team gear, something that raised plenty of eyebrows given his current stand-off with the organization.

Of course, there’s nothing funny or strange about a player wearing his team’s apparel in the off-season.
But Jackson and the Ravens were reportedly around $100 million apart in his guaranteed money aspirations, and he had been quite blunt about wanting to get his market value and the team needed to meet his conditions.
So, this may have either been an act of good faith by Jackson to prove that he’s willing to meet them in the middle or maybe he already got paid, and the team has yet to make the announcement.
Or maybe he just put on the first thing he found, which would be the least exciting turn of events in this saga.
Whatever the case, we must keep a close eye on this story, as Jackson could be the first domino to fall in what might as well be a wild offseason.
