Lamar Jackson remains one of the top stories of the NFL offseason.
The former NFL MVP is one of the best and most dynamic quarterbacks in the entire league.
Yet we are in June of his contract year and he remains without a long-term deal in place.
There are unique factors to his situation, including the fact he serves as his own agent.
So while most teams discuss deals out of the limelight with agents, everything that happens with Jackson must go through him.
The lack of a new deal has Baltimore Ravens fans wondering what will happen.
Will he hold out without a new contract?
The quarterback spoke on this Thursday afternoon, yet did not provide much of a definitive answer.
Lamar Jackson was asked again whether he would show up for training camp and play the season without an extension.
“We’re having a conversation about it," Jackson said. "I don’t know.”

“We’re having a conversation about it,” Jackson said, as shared by ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “I don’t know.”
Honesty is appreciated, however, this leaves his situation in limbo as training camp approaches.
The Ravens Need To Get Serious With Jackson
The team has been patient with Jackson, but the time has come to get serious.
Him not having a deal, and not knowing if that will lead to a holdout, creates a massive distraction for a team hoping to return to contention in 2022.
On his end, waiting may pay off because he has seen quarterbacks all over the league sign massive deals.
Deshaun Watson got a fully-guaranteed, $230 million deal and he has not even played since 2020.
That bodes well for Jackson in his negotiations with the Ravens.
The young star did mention that he and the team are having a conversation about his status.
But if he is forced to sit out, that may mean the team has no intention of paying him anything close to what he wants.
