The Los Angeles Lakers are making an offseason move and it’s leaving more than a few fans upset.
Followers of the Lakers have grown used to disappointment but they were shaking their heads again when they heard that Patrick Beverley had been traded to the team.
They weren’t upset because they don’t care for Beverley’s personality and frequency of trash-talking.
Instead, they were angered because the Lakers sent away both Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson in exchange for Beverley.
Choosing THT over Caruso and then trading THT and Stanley for a worse Caruso is a pretty decent summary of Pelinka's tenure.

Anthony F. Irwin summed up why this whole trade is a bit confusing.
It is especially bizarre when you consider Horton-Tucker’s history with the team and the players who have been sent away so he could stay.
“Choosing THT over Caruso and then trading THT and Stanley for a worse Caruso is a pretty decent summary of Pelinka’s tenure,” Irwin said.
His frustration is understandable.
Missing Caruso
Alex Caruso was a fan favorite player for the Lakers and was truly beloved before he was sent off to the Chicago Bulls last year.
The Bulls could have instead received Horton-Tucker in that trade but LA balked at that idea and offered Caruso instead.
Now just one season later, the Lakers have decided to trade away Horton-Tucker and Johnson for Beverley, a player who many people think doesn’t hold a candle to Caruso.
Sure, it’s disappointing and doesn’t really make sense on the surface.
But when you consider the Lakers’ immediate plans and their financial situation, the Beverley trade makes a bit more sense.
Still, no one can deny that the Lakers miss Caruso and could definitely be helped by him right now.
The hope is that the Beverley trade, while making some fans unhappy, could also make the Lakers better.
