Kyrie Irving is currently not playing basketball for the Brooklyn Nets right now as he sits out because of suspension for his promotion of antisemitic material on his social media.
The suspension will last for at least five games and will only be lifted after Irving completes a set of requirements that were handed down to him by the team.
We don’t know how much work Irving has done so far and how close he is to a return, but he did just have a very important sit-down with the commissioner of the league.
Sources: NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Kyrie Irving met this morning and the sides had a productive and understanding visit, paving the way for the Nets and their suspended star to work through his steps on a potential path forward.

Irving and NBA commissioner Adam Silver met on Tuesday morning and, according to sources, the two “sides had a productive and understanding visit.”
Shams Charania says that the meeting is “paving the way for the Nets and their suspended star to work through his steps on a potential path forward.”
This report pushes back a bit against some of the other rumors that have been floating around the league.
Is Irving on his way back?
“Paving The Way”
There has been a lot of speculation about Irving’s future, with some people suggesting that he might not ever play for the Nets – or in the NBA – again.
But it sounds like things are moving in the right direction for the controversial star.
Of course, even if Irving does come back to the Nets, they might be trading him away soon.
It’s obvious that the team’s owner Joe Tsai is sick of all the headaches Irving causes and the front office might be willing to send him to another team as soon as he comes back.
Irving is obviously doing some sort of work during his suspension, we just don’t know what the end result will be.
