The Minnesota Timberwolves took down the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night to secure the seventh seed in the West and their second trip to the playoffs in 17 years.

It was a big night for the T-Wolves, who have become one of the breakout teams in the league after greatly turning themselves around in less than a year.

They were more than a bit excited about their win and were celebrating on the court as if they had just won a playoff series.

Many people have been poking fun at their excitement, including NBA peer Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards.

Minnesota just won the chip 🤣🤣🤣

On Twitter, Kuzma joked, “Minnesota just won the chip,” with several laughing emojis.

Kuzma and others might be joking about the enthusiasm of the team but, in the end, the Timberwolves are having the last laugh.

Comeback Season

It can’t be ignored how much better the Timberwolves are this season compared to last.

At the end of last season, the team only had 23 wins.

This season, they ended up with 46 of them and are now in the playoffs.

When you look at the team on paper, not a whole lot has changed.

This is the result of many, many years of hard work and developing a young core of players.

They really have come a long way and they deserve to be happy about that.

While few people think the Timberwolves will win the Finals this year, there is no doubt that this is one of the best up-and-coming teams in the entire league.

Yes, this is their second playoff appearance in 17 years but they might be returning again and again over the next few years.
