After winning the final game of the 2022 NFL season, the Houston Texans found themselves with the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming draft.
Leading up to the draft, many analysts and fans have conducted mocks, predicting who they think the Texans will select.
Many have pointed to the quarterback position for the Texans, which Kurt Warner has recently agreed with, in a recent installment of Get Up.
“You have to restart your program with a guy at the quarterback position,” said Warner.

After the Texans’ 3-13-1 season, they are expected to rebuild, which Warner believes begins with the quarterback.
Last season, Davis Mills started 14 games for the Texans.
However, it is widely believed that Mills will not be the team’s starter in 2023, given their current position in the draft.
As Warner also indicates, “I believe there’s a guy in the mix at number two that the Texans have to go get.”
C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young are widely seen as the top two quarterbacks in the class.
If the Texans have a high enough grade on either of them, in Warner’s mind, they should select a quarterback.
The NFL has transformed over the years, and an increased emphasis has been put on the quarterback position.
If a team does not have a marquee quarterback on their roster, it is difficult for them to make a deep playoff run.
With that in mind, it appears that it’s in the Texans’ best interest to use the pick on a quarterback.
Who is the best fit for their current roster?
