The Golden State Warriors were ready to play on Monday night and took down the Washington Wizards, 135-126.
This was a strong victory for the reigning champs, made even stronger by the fact that they are still without their star player, Stephen Curry.
Once again, it was Klay Thompson who was ready to lead his squad and shine brightly.

At one point towards the end of the second quarter, Thompson caught serious air and dunked the ball over Wizards big man Kristaps Porzingis.
It is important to keep in mind that Porzingis is 7-foot-3 and Thompson is 6-foot-6 so overcoming him like that is quite remarkable.
But fans of the Warriors weren’t surprised to see him do it because Thompson has been mostly sensational lately.
On Monday he scored 27 points, which comes just a few nights after a 31-point and 42-point game.
That 42-point match also had him sinking 12 of his 16 three-point attempts, showing that he is able to produce from all over the court.
Thompson’s season has been something of a mixed bag, with him going for 54 on one night and then just 15 or 10 days later.
But he has been better and more consistent lately and Monday night’s game proves that.
Golden State needs him in fine form for as long as possible because Curry won’t be back for at least a couple more weeks.
He is still recovering from a leg injury and will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.
But Thompson seems completely comfortable leading his team until his fellow Splash Brother returns.
