Fans of the Golden State Warriors were very happy with what they saw on Monday night.
The Warriors haven’t been very consistent this season but they were the epitome of that when beating the Phoenix Suns, 123-112.
A major part of this important win was the Splash Brothers, who were red-hot in the first quarter.
As noted by ESPN, Stephen Curry scored 12 points on 4-of-5 from the field and 3-of-3 from the three-point line in the game’s first period.
Meanwhile, Klay Thompson was even hotter with 18 points on 7-of-9 from the field and 4-of-6 from downtown.

Steph would’ve been a Hall of Fame player regardless who he played with over his career. He’s the greatest shooter ever—arguably the greatest player ever. Definitely in the conversation. He a great passer & great teammate, on & on. @Rjeff24 @jj_redick

When the game came to an end, Curry had 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists while Thompson outdid him with 38 points and 5 rebounds.
This was a vintage performance from these two and it gave fans something to be excited about.
Curry and Thompson are still one of the best backcourts in the league but there is no denying their team has had problems this season.
Seeing this duo perform so well right before the playoffs is good news, especially against a team like the Suns.
If they can keep this up, there is every reason to believe they might have a successful stint in the postseason.
The Warriors are about to embark on a challenging road trip.
Their record on the road this season has been downright atrocious.
However, the Warriors haven’t had Curry and Thompson playing like this in some time so perhaps they can score a few big wins even while they are away.
When these two players are performing like the legendary unit they are, the Warriors feel unstoppable.
