The Golden State Warriors, the reigning champions of the NBA, have a very serious problem this year.
Believe it or not, they have a 7-26 record on the road so far this season.
They are still very dominant in their home games but they fall apart when they travel.
That is obviously something they want to change, especially before the playoffs, which are filled with best-of-seven series.
On Monday night, Klay Thompson was asked why his team isn’t able to earn big wins on the road and his response was full of confidence:
“I think we’re going to do it with these next five games. I think we’re going to come out of this road trip with a lot of great momentum. And although history this season has been not so good to us, I think it’s our time to ramp up our ability to win games.”

Thompson led his Warriors to a big 123-112 win over the Phoenix Suns on Monday and fans were feeling really good about their team.
That was their second victory in a row and, unsurprisingly, they were both at home.
But now the Warriors are starting a five-game road trip, featuring teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Dallas Mavericks.
If history is any indication, they will have a tough time scoring wins during this stretch of games.
It is shocking to see the Warriors suffer such issues while on the road.
It is even more shocking because their home record is a strong 29-7.
The Warriors are the fifth team in the West right now, which means they have a wonderful chance at playing in the postseason.
But their postseason run won’t last long if they can’t figure out why they keep losing when on the road.
Thompson believes his team can turn things around – now it’s time to prove that they can.
