It’s been two years since the Minnesota Vikings last made the NFL playoffs.
They have been at the fringe in 2020 and 2021 but couldn’t get over the hump.
Despite their shortcomings, quarterback Kirk Cousins has been steady with his performances.
In 2020, he had 4,265 yards and 35 touchdowns.
A year later, the former Michigan State standout finished with 4,221 yards and 33 touchdowns.
The three-time Pro Bowler is also in good company based on this trivia shared by NFL GameDay.
Only 3 QBs in NFL history have had 30k yards and 200 TD in their first 115 games.

They revealed that Cousins is only one of three quarterbacks in league history to have 30,000 yards and 200 touchdowns in their first 115 games.
The other two on the exclusive list are Pro Football Hall of Famers Dan Marino and Peyton Manning.
If that’s the case, football fans should put Cousins in higher regard.
However, it does help if he has receivers like Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen to throw to.
It makes his job easier and also elevates his stats.
Thielen finished last season with 726 yards and ten touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Jefferson improved on his rookie season numbers with 1,616 yards and ten touchdowns.
Between them, they have already accounted for ten percent of Cousins’ touchdown passes to be on that illustrious list.
Better Things Ahead For The Vikings
Of course, quarterbacks want to be mentioned with Marino and Manning when football talent is being discussed.
But Cousins also wants to deliver a Super Bowl to the Vikings.
They could achieve that feat in 2022 with Kevin O’Connell coming aboard.
His offensive scheme helped the Los Angeles Rams win Super Bowl LVI.
That’s the same result Cousins and the Vikings would like to achieve.
For that to happen, they must learn an explosive system that will maximize the passing game even more.
