The Sacramento Kings are currently the 13th team in the West and will once again miss the playoffs this year.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t have a few bright spots on their team and a future that still feels promising.
One of the brightest spots for the struggling squad is Davion Mitchell, the Kings rookie who has been on fire lately.
Davion Mitchell has scored 20+ points in four consecutive games.
The last Kings rookie to have such a streak?

Mitchell has scored more than 20 points in the last four consecutive games.
That’s a huge feat for the young star and hasn’t been done since Tyreke Evans did it for Sacramento back in 2010.
What’s next for Mitchell and his Kings?
The King Maker
It seems like the Kings are always having problems and never making their fans happy.
But it can’t be denied that they do have a talented roster right now, one that is capable of growing and becoming something special.
Aside from Mitchell, the team also has De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, Justin Holiday, and more.
Plus, they recently acquired Domantas Sabonis too.
There is a real reason to believe that they could be turning a corner, especially if Mitchell continues to blossom into the type of player he’s becoming.
But it won’t be easy because the Western Conference will remain competitive in the years ahead, with the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies playing better than they have in years.
That’s why some fans of the Kings are hoping their team makes a few more major trades in the near future.
They know that Mitchell is a special, rising talent but they also know they want to surround him with as much help as possible.
The season is once again ending in a disappointing fashion for the Kings – but not for Mitchell.
