Russell Westbrook is seemingly at a low point in his career.
After a tumultuous first year with the Los Angeles Lakers, he found his name in countless trade rumors.
Analysts and pundits everywhere put the lion’s share of the blame on Westbrook for the Lakers’ struggles.
But the Lakers hoped another offseason together with a new coach would unlock their star point guard.
Through three games, that has not been the case.
Westbrook is averaging a career-worst 10.3 points per game on an abysmal 28.9% shooting.
That includes a putrid 8.3% mark from three-point range on 4.0 attempts per game.
Opponents are begging him to shoot, and he appears to have lost all confidence and love for the game.
It has reached a point where former Celtics star Kevin Garnett felt he needed to offer some advice.
Garnett Says Westbrook Needs To “Reset”
Garnett, an NBA champion and member of the Hall of Fame, was one of the most passionate players in NBA history.
He wore his heart on his sleeve night in and night out and gave his all while on the court.
Similar to how Westbrook used to play.
But that player seems to be gone.
A player who once used to attack the rim with reckless abandon now settles for jump shots.
Jump shots he is not making.
Garnett offered a piece of advice on his show KG Certified.

“Reset yourself and remember why you do this,” stated “The Big Ticket”.
Which could be exactly what Westbrook needs – a reset.
It seems the bright lights and intense scrutiny have started to claw away at the former league MVP.
Getting back to who he is at his core might be the key to jump-starting Westbrook again.
