One of the best iterations of the Boston Celtics has gotten back together…sort of.
The Celtics celebrated hero player Kevin Garnett on Sunday when they retired his jersey at a home game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Garnett, who has long solidified himself as one of the most important Celtics players ever, had the fans excited and cheering him on.
But there were a few other familiar faces saluting him too.

Some of Garnett’s most notable teammates were on hand to watch the jersey be retired, including Kendrick Perkins, Glen Davis, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.
In many ways, seeing this collection of players was quite surprising.
The Grudge Is Over
Few people expected to see Allen attend the jersey retirement…or any event alongside Garnett.
There has been bad blood between Allen, Garnett, and Pierce for years now.
It is all because of Allen’s departure from the Celtics back in 2012.
When Allen decided to leave Boston for the Miami Heat, Pierce and Garnett were personally offended.
They have publicly said they felt abandoned and angry.
Since then, they haven’t hidden their disdain for Allen’s actions.
Things were so bad that Allen didn’t show up for Pierce’s 2018 jersey retirement.
All of this has led to a few awkward moments between the three players.
But apparently, the rough patch is officially behind them.
At this year’s All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, the three guys were seen smiling together for the first time in ages.
It’s good to see the big three let bygones be bygones, especially since they are coming together to celebrate one of the best Celtics players to ever do it.
No matter how it all ended, Garnett, Pierce, and Allen were part of a team that will forever live on in Boston history.
