Kevin Durant’s first game with the Phoenix Suns was a runaway success for many reasons.
The team was able to easily take down the Charlotte Hornets, scoring a 105-91 victory.
Meanwhile, Durant posted 23 points and 6 rebounds in 26 minutes, showing that he is almost back to his regular self after injury.
Additionally, Durant worked excellently alongside Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, Chris Paul, and others.

But this first game featuring Durant was a hit for other reasons too.
For example, the game was the highest-rated TV program in Phoenix on Wednesday night.
According to Bally Sports Arizona, typical Suns games usually receive a 3.6 rating with 76,571 viewers in the Phoenix area.
But Durant’s first game brought in a 5.0 rating and 106,730 viewers.
It’s plain to see that fans of the team were very ready to see Durant suited up in a Suns jersey for the first time.
Durant joining the Suns was obviously wonderful news for the team as he greatly improves their chances of going far in the playoffs.
But his addition is also clearly a blessing for the local media too.
They have already created dozens of headlines and television pieces about Durant’s move to Arizona.
In the weeks and months ahead, Bally Sports Arizona will be just one of the many networks that will be racking in cash because of a deeper interest in the team.
Durant generates a lot of buzz no matter where he is playing.
His move to the Suns is going to draw in a lot of viewers and a lot of money.
But will it draw in a championship victory too?
