Kevin Durant and his Brooklyn Nets faced off against the Miami Heat on Thursday night.
This was a preseason game so it didn’t really mean anything in the grand scheme of things.
At least the Nets hope so because they ended up losing 109-80 to the Heat.

Despite their loss, Durant was in fine form as the night began.
He had 18 points on 86% field goal shooting in the first quarter.
He was 1-of-2 from the three-point line too.
Durant was doing quite well for his team but things still weren’t working with the Nets and it didn’t leave him very happy at all.
“I didn’t like anything,” Durant told the New York Post following the game.
Durant and his squad need to get it together before the new season starts because they have not had a very promising preseason.
Nets Needing A Lot
Brooklyn lost to the 76ers in their opening preseason game earlier this week and things weren’t any better against the Heat on Thursday.
The Nets would later claim that Miami had a better mentality than them and that can’t be argued: the team was far more prepared and enthused and eager to win.
This is an issue that Brooklyn will need to address before the season tips off in less than two weeks.
The chemistry of the Nets will have to be improved and the squad will need to actually work like a real team with actual desire if they wish to have more wins than losses in the 2022-23 season.
All eyes will be on the Nets right out the gate and if they don’t start the season strongly then there will be a lot of negative speculation about what will happen next.
