Kevin Durant is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and saying otherwise wouldn’t only be unfair and inaccurate, it would be hating at this point.
But as great as a player as he is, KD has often fallen short, and he’s made some rather questionable moves that deserve some criticism.
However, Charles Barkley has often gone a little over the line when it comes to his criticism of Durant, going as far as to call him a “bus rider” and pretty much stating that his two NBA championships should have an asterisk next to it.
Recently, the Hall of Famer doubled down on his criticism of KD.
Barkley pointed out the fact that Durant has never taken a deep look in the mirror and admitted that he could’ve done better, claiming that he’s a part of a generation that cannot handle criticism.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long before Durant responded, stating that he’s never going to respect anything that comes out of his mouth.
This ain’t gettin tiring chuck? I’ll never respect the words that come out ya mouth fam just deal with it https://t.co/ZGGCIs62El

To be fair, it’s easy to understand where younger players come from when it comes to guys like Barkley or Shaquille O’Neal.
They have rarely had words of praise for this generation of players, and while some of the criticism has been valid, they’ve looked like haters more often than not.
Durant is a first-ballot Hall of Famer, one of the greatest scorers ever, and perhaps even a better player than Barkley ever was, and his legacy shouldn’t be put into doubt or question at this point.
He’s also failed as a leader; both statements are true and can coexist.
