Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns are on the verge of reaching the second round of the NBA playoffs and there are numerous people who think they have what it takes to make the Finals.
In fact, there are many who think they have to make the Finals in order for the monster trade that acquired Durant to be worth it.
Durant, who has won two championships already, spoke about what it would mean to claim another ring.
Speaking to The Ringer, via ESPN, Durant touched on the idea of doing it again:
“A title is incredible, but what it’s going to mean to me as an individual? I want to win a title for a city, for my teammates, for the organization. Is it going to get me notoriety, more attention, a ring? It’s not really about me. That’s how I look at championships. So I want to do this together. I’m looking forward to going on the journey with these guys.”

This statement is in line with previous comments Durant has said about winning a championship.
The soft-spoken superstar has never been one to brag much or get very hyped up about his stats or trophies.
Instead, he quietly focuses on winning and winning as much as possible.
Despite what some people say, Durant has consistently said things that show he is a team player at heart and really cares about his entire squad achieving something special together.
The current team he is with now might be the most talented crew he’s ever been with.
Other Suns stars like Deandre Ayton, Chris Paul, and Devin Booker are all superstars in their own right.
They are coming together to put the rest of the West on notice.
They are up 3-1 over the Los Angeles Clippers and most people think they should put that series to bed within a few days.
That will bring them one step closer to the Finals and one step closer to Durant helping his entire team win a championship.
