It’s been more than six weeks since Kevin Durant played with his team, the Brooklyn Nets.
Since he’s been sidelined, the team has fallen through the ranks of the Eastern Conference and is now struggling to even make the postseason.
But there is hope that things are about to get better for the Nets because Durant is set to return on Thursday night in a game against the Miami Heat.
According to Durant, he’s more than ready to go.

Speaking with the press before his return, Durant said, “I feel energized.”
He later added that he’s prepared to be an important part of his team’s success, saying, “I know what I can do and how I can help this team.”
Head coach Steve Nash and his teammates sure hope Durant is right because they need him now more than ever.
Saving Brooklyn
When the season began, there were many NBA fans and analysts who expected the Nets to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals.
Oh, how times have changed.
Now both the Nets and Lakers are struggling to even make the playoffs.
But the Nets have a lot of hope for the rest of the season.
Durant was performing like a true team leader when he was on the floor and the Nets were actually claiming some noteworthy victories.
With Durant back on the floor, many expect the team to once again impress.
Additionally, the team is still waiting on newcomer Ben Simmons to suit up and show what he can bring the team.
Although it’s a long shot, Kyrie Irving might be given the chance to play full-time in the future too.
When you think of Durant returning and all those other possibilities, things don’t seem so bad for the Nets.
