The NBA regular season is coming to an end, and we already have the playoff pool mostly set in both conferences.
Some teams still need to get through the play-in tournament to determine playoff seeding, but we can already make some predictions about potential first-round matchups.
Notably, the Phoenix Suns reached this point with an 8-0 record with Kevin Durant on the floor, so they look like the team to beat right now.
However, even if rival teams don’t have a lot of game film from Durant and the new-look Suns, the legendary forward believes opposing coaches should have no excuses at this point.
Per Durant, the playoffs will be all about who wants it more and who’s got the best team, as all coaches should know what he brings to the table at this point.
“If you a playoff coach and you don’t know how we coming as a team, I don’t think you should have that job,” Durant said.
“If you a playoff coach and you're not prepared for how we coming as a team I don't think you should have that job."

His assessment, while harsh, was quite valid.
Kevin Durant isn’t the kind of player who’s going to drastically alter any system, as he can be inserted into nearly every single team and deliver the same results.
Durant doesn’t need to get a ton of touches to score 25+ efficiently, and it’s not like the offense needs to go through him on every possession.
But even if that were to be the case, we’re talking about a guy who’s been in the league for over a decade, so opposing coaches should know what they’re up against.
Also, you can prepare and make as many adjustments as you want, but there’s no such thing as stopping Kevin Durant; you can only hope he misses.
