It has been an eventful summer for Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets.
The superstar was obviously the talk of the league as he demanded a trade from his team but then made even more headlines when he eventually settled with Brooklyn and decided to stay.
Durant has been spotted in the gym often too, showing that he is getting physically ready to take on the new season.
Durant has also been on the internet a lot over the last couple of months and has been using his favorite app, Twitter, often.
Love to all the NFL homies, I appreciate all y’all do for fans worldwide. Have a fun and healthy season…let’s get it

While most of his tweets were pushing back against critics, Durant struck a different tone on Sunday.
Durant gave some love to the NFL as it started its new season.
“Love to all the NFL homies, I appreciate y’all do for fans worldwide. Have a fun and healthy season…let’s get it,” Durant said.
This was a sweet message from Durant and markedly different from the other tweets he makes.
However, no one should expect to see a kinder, gentler Durant on social media.
Durant Dunking On Detractors
Basketball is obviously Durant’s biggest love but arguing with people online sometimes seems like his second-biggest love.
The man is never afraid to comment on peoples’ words about him, no matter how petty it makes him seem.
But he knows he has the skill to back up his words.
For example, Durant averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists a game last season and was easily the most valuable player for his team.
When he was not playing, the Nets suffered tremendously, proving just how crucial he is.
The hope is that the Nets won’t need to rely on Durant as much in the 2022-23 season, as they will have a healthy Ben Simmons and a fully-utilized Kyrie Irving too.
But even with all that assistance, Durant will still be the team’s brightest star.
