It’s time for Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets to answer for himself.
The man has been the center of many headlines over the last few months.
It all started when he demanded a trade from the Nets in June, which set the NBA world ablaze with rumor and speculation.
Practically every team in the league tried to get Durant but the Nets weren’t willing to give him away for just anything.
In the end, Durant agreed to come back to the Nets even though it wasn’t his first choice.

Now Durant is opening up about the entire trade demand saga and he’s being quite honest about the whole thing.
Speaking to the press during media day, Durant was asked if he is surprised that he’s back in a Brooklyn uniform.
Durant said no because “I know I’m that good that you’re not just going to give me away.”
He then added that he appreciated that the team’s front office wasn’t willing to part with him and said he was too good to just give away.
This surely won’t be Durant’s last comments about the wild offseason and it’ll leave many fans uneasy.
KD Has Come Back To Brooklyn
There is a lot riding on this next season for the Nets.
The future of Durant with the team obviously rests on the fate of 2022-23.
If the team continues to struggle and flounder, then Durant will have much more leverage when demanding a trade from the team.
Plus, he will have another year off of his contract which means it’ll be easier for him to be moved.
But Durant wants to win, he’s a competitive player.
Therefore, Durant is going to again show just how good he is and why the Nets were smart to cling to him.
