The Brooklyn Nets haven’t really been working as a cohesive unit lately.
Last season was pretty bad for them, full of rumors and too many losses during the regular season.
It all resulted in the team being swept in the first round of the playoffs.
Of course, that was all followed by Kevin Durant demanding a trade from the team multiple times during the summer.
From Durant to Kyrie Irving to James Harden, Ben Simmons, and more, there are many sources of drama for the Nets lately.
KD: "I only control my job and my job is to be a player … I'm not the liaison between Kyrie and the organization."

Durant touched upon that a little bit during media day for the Nets.
When asked about Irving, his controversial opinions and actions, and the ways they have affected the team, Durant said that wasn’t really his concern.
“I only control my job and my job is to be a player,” Durant said.
He continued, “I’m not the liaison between Kyrie and the organization.”
Durant is completely right: his job is to play and not manage the rest of his squad.
However, this comment will anger the many people who say Durant hasn’t stepped up as his team’s leader.
Let Kyrie Be Kyrie
On one hand, Durant is smart to stay out of the way of Irving and let him do his own thing.
Everyone knows that Irving is a man who will always dance to the beat of his own drum and won’t listen to others.
At the same time, Durant is supposed to be the leader of his team, inspiring them and helping them reach their potential.
Instead, he has shown that he wants to only focus on his own performance.
Durant’s only desire is to play the game and he doesn’t want anything to do with the drama of others.
