Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets isn’t usually a very talkative guy but even he couldn’t hold back from praising Chicago Bulls superstar DeMar DeRozan.
DeRozan has been having a truly historic season and has been setting records left and right, especially around the number of consecutive games he’s had where he’s scored 30 or more points.
Durant noted DeRozan’s incredible skill on Twitter Thursday morning.
Thank you for setting a great example and playing the game with supreme skill @DeMar_DeRozan

The future hall of Famer tweeted “Thank you for setting a great example and playing the game with supreme skill @DeMar_DeRozan.”
Greatness knows greatness and Durant’s tweet shows that, despite the fact that he’s his competition, DeRozan’s magical season cannot be ignored.
MVP In The Making
Chants of “MVP” have been heard during Bulls games multiple times this year.
That’s because he’s really on fire this year.
DeRozan is averaging 28.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists this year.
But beyond those numbers, he’s permanently in clutch mode, playing every minute of every matchup like it’s the final seconds of a tied playoff game.
He’s been dubbed “Mr. Fourth Quarter” because of his ability to close games but he’s honestly been red hot from the opening tip-off until the very last second.
DeRozan really is in the mix for MVP, even though the competition is very fierce this year.
Not only that, his Bulls have a legitimate chance to push through the Eastern Conference and even go all the way to the NBA Finals.
If DeRozan keeps playing as he has been, there is a strong chance that the Bulls can actually win it all.
So while Durant is right to praise his fellow NBA peer, he needs to remember that DeRozan might be the reason that he doesn’t win a ring this year.
