He might not have wanted to but Kevin Durant is returning to the Brooklyn Nets.
Durant, whose summer was filled with trade demands and many rumors about where he could go, is coming back to Brooklyn and is ready to win.
But he’s also ready to speak his mind.
Durant has never been shy about sharing his opinion but he’s been very frank so far for this season, opening up about his views on the team and what he expects from his squad.
Kevin Durant says he wanted everybody on the #Nets to hold themselves accountable and be held accountable for their play. Cites losing streak when he got hurt and says "We shouldn't have been losing all those games." #NBA

Speaking about the rest of the players on his team, Durant said he wants everyone on the roster to hold themselves accountable and also be held accountable for their playing.
When speaking about the losing streaks the Nets experienced when Durant was hurt last season, he said, “We shouldn’t have been losing those games.”
It sounds like he is demanding a lot from this team and that is a good thing.
However, what happens if the rest of the team doesn’t meet his expectations?
Durant’s Demands
This might be the beginning of a new era for Durant, one where he isn’t afraid of saying anything about anyone, including his own squadmates.
It’s no secret that Durant wanted to leave the team but he’s back with them and he will need greatness from his peers in order for him to be happy.
If they don’t step it up and play as Durant wishes, you can expect we will hear about trade rumors again.
A trade didn’t happen during this past offseason but if 2022-23 is rough for the Nets, the team will likely have to make a move and send Durant away.
Durant is ready to play but he’s not going to accept anything less than excellence from those he plays with.
