Kenny Pickett’s first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers produced varied results.
In the 13 games that he appeared in, the Steelers posted a 7-5 record, with Pickett playing significantly better toward the end of the season.
Despite being a franchise quarterback for the Steelers, Pickett hasn’t made a lot of media appearances up to this point.
Recently, he appeared on Green Light, a podcast with former NFL player Chris Long, where he detailed the player that hit him the hardest in his rookie campaign.
When asked the question, without skipping a beat, Pickett said, “Quinnen Williams.”

Williams is widely viewed as one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL, and his recent contract extension has all but affirmed that.
When he recanted this hit, Pickett said he “came up laughing,” as he had “never been hit that hard” in his entire life.
Many players talk about a ‘Welcome to the NFL’ moment.
For Pickett, it seems like this was a wake-up call, knowing that players like Williams can hit with brute force that only comes from being hit by a 300-pound defensive lineman.
Pickett added, “That’s a big dude coming at you full speed.”
This may have been the first big hit of Pickett’s career, but it won’t be his last.
Being a quarterback may have its perks, especially with the various safety measures that are put into place.
However, as Pickett experienced, they can still get hit by linemen that are seemingly the size of Mack Trucks.
Welcome to the NFL, Mr. Pickett.
