The Golden State Warriors are currently fighting hard against the Boston Celtics to win this year’s NBA Finals.

Right now, the series is tied 2-2 as the Finals return to the Bay Area for what will surely be a very heated Game 5.

Both teams have been showing some wonderful skill and many players are stepping up in huge ways.

But one player is standing out the most: Stephen Curry.

Curry is the most dominant player on his team – and actually the most dominant player on either squad.

I believe that Steph Curry should win Finals MVP regardless of the outcome! He has been the BEST player in the series and it’s not even close. The man is averaging 35!!!! Don’t mind me and Carry the hell on…

This has NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins claiming Curry should win Finals MVP regardless of which team takes home the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

“I believe that Steph Curry should win Finals MVP regardless of the outcome! He has been the BEST player in the series and it’s not even close. The man is averaging 35!!!!” Perkins said on Twitter.

Does he have a point?

Curry Carrying

Perkins is right that Curry is MVP-worthy.

He is currently averaging 34.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists a game.

However, he doesn’t stand a chance of winning Finals MVP if his team doesn’t win.

That’s just simply not how it works in the NBA – so if his team wants him to finally claim this special award, they better step up and get themselves across the finish line.

Curry has sometimes looked like he’s on an island during these Finals.

He is far and away the best player on his team and it often looks like others aren’t stepping up as they should.

The series is 2-2 right now but just imagine where it would be if Curry had more support.

Maybe he will get that in Game 5.

If that’s the case, this series could take a turn in a brand new direction.
