The Golden State Warriors secured a very important and big win the other night, taking down the Milwaukee Bucks, 125-116 in overtime on Saturday night.
That stopped a three-game losing streak and showed that they can still beat some of the best teams in the league.
But it doesn’t change the fact that the Warriors, currently the reigning champions of the NBA, have not had a great season.
NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins was on ESPN and stated his opinion clearly and loudly: “The Golden State Warriors, their championship days are over.”

The team is currently the sixth-best in the West with a 35-33 record.
That means that if the playoffs started today, they would be facing off against the third-seed Memphis Grizzlies, which would make for some great television and high tension but could also spell the end of their season.
Perkins listed several reasons as to why the Warriors have been struggling all year, including the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole incident that occurred at the end of the summer.
He also noted that the team’s depth is lacking compared to last year.
There are numerous factors detracting from their success.
The bottom line is that they are not having the year they expected and it’s not the one fans wanted.
Golden State will most certainly make the postseason, but their chances of returning to the Finals feel incredibly slim.
But is Perkins right about his assessment of the team?
Are the Warriors’ days of winning the championship completely done?
Or is this just a brief rough spot that they can put behind them?
