Right now, the duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets are the talk of the NBA.
But there have been so many amazing partnerships in the league throughout its history.
Recently, Kendrick Perkins discussed his top-five duos with ESPN and some of the usual suspects were on his list.
In fifth place are Draymond Green and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, followed by Tim Duncan and Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.
Third place goes to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson of the Los Angeles Lakers, while Bill Russell and Bob Cousy of the Boston Celtics take the number-two spot.
Finally, the duo of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant of the Lakers is the greatest of all time, according to Perkins.

Perkins’ choices are not that surprising but they are hard to argue against.
Every single one of these pairings found great success in the league and in the NBA postseason.
Only one of them is still in the association today: Green and Curry.
Additionally, there has been a lot of speculation that that partnership may be nearing its end and Green could be departing from the Warriors.
Having a strong duo at the center of an NBA franchise is a very important move that has been repeated again and again throughout history.
Many of the best teams have been anchored by a strong partnership, typically with a guard and a power forward or center.
What is the next duo that will reign over the NBA?
Will it be Jokic and Murray or Butler and Adebayo?
