The New York Knicks have one of the most passionate fanbases in sports.
Despite not winning an NBA championship in five decades, the Big Apple lives and dies for the Knickerbockers, and they’ll stand by their team in rain, sleet, hail, and snow.
Notably, it seems like they can now add one former rival to their long legion of supporters, as former NBA player Kendrick Perkins has repeatedly raved about the current status of the team.
As a matter of fact, Perkins was so tangled up in his passionate speech about the Knicks and the fans that he couldn’t even hear Molly Qerim or Stephen A. Smith when they were trying to go to a commercial break in today’s edition of First Take.
Perkins kept on talking and talking and ranting and raving, up to the point where the show’s production simply cut him off and went to the commercial break.
Needless to say, that hilarious moment didn’t go unnoticed by internet detectives, and even Qerim took to Twitter to express how funny it was.
I was crying 😂 @FirstTake @KendrickPerkins @stephenasmith https://t.co/4cdhCXy5tF

Perkins has quickly escalated the ranks among NBA analysts, going viral with his hot and not-so-hot takes, and never mincing his words about anything or anybody else around the league.
So, it wasn’t much of a surprise to see that he had plenty to say about this Knicks team, and that he wasn’t going to shut up until he let it all out of his system.
You may or may not like the show, but this was just hilarious.
