The defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors have their backs against the wall in their second-round playoff series with the Los Angeles Lakers following a loss to LeBron James and company in Game 4 at Crypto.com Arena on Monday night.
Although it came down to the last few possessions in Game 4, which could’ve resulted in the series being tied at two games apiece, the Lakers prevailed following two late-game mistakes by Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
This playoff series will now head back to San Francisco for Game 5 at the Chase Center, with the Warriors facing elimination again in the postseason.
Even though the Warriors may keep their playoff hopes alive with a win on Wednesday in the Bay Area, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins believes there’s no chance of Golden State getting back in this series.
I give the Warriors a ZERO Chance of coming back in this Series. The Lakers are on their behinds like a pair of Apple Botton Pants!!! Carry the hell on… pic.twitter.com/IE8Vq59qqZ

With the series now sitting at 3-1, the Warriors must win three games in a row to advance to the Western Conference Finals and keep their hopes of repeating alive.
Even though that’s a tall task for any team, Golden State has a knack for defying the odds and may be able to if they can show signs of life in Game 5 on their home floor.
However, even if the Warriors come out on top in Game 5, they’ve still got to beat the Lakers in Los Angeles one more time, which will likely be the most challenging game of the series for the defending champions.
It will take some heroics by Curry and company to get back into this series, but they are more than capable, meaning Game 5 will be must-see TV for basketball fans.
