The Chicago Bears will have to ride and die with Justin Fields at quarterback.
His honeymoon period is over, and they hope he will turn out to be the franchise play-caller the Bears have been searching for decades.
The former Ohio State standout will now be the undisputed leader on offense for a team that hasn’t won a playoff game since 2010.
However, the odds of winning their season opener didn’t look good because they faced the San Francisco 49ers.
The Niners reached the NFC Championship Game last season and still have a competitive roster.
But the Bears turned heads after defeating the 49ers at home, 19-10.
It’s a sweet victory for the Bears that Fields had to celebrate in a fantastic manner.

Overtime shared a video wherein Fields slid onto the wet Soldier Field as rains continued to pour.
He could not care less about the weather conditions because they started the season on the right note.
However, Fields’ stats were not too impressive in this victory.
He only completed eight passes out of 17 attempts for 121 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
He also added 28 rushing yards.
Still, a win is a win, and the Bears will take this leading into Week 2 when they face a familiar foe.
Will Aaron Rodgers Continue To Own The Bears?
The reigning Most Valuable Player had a soundbite wherein he declared “owning” the Bears.
Fields would like to reverse that trend by defeating the Packers at Lambeau Field next week.
He will need to play better against Green Bay to go 2-0 for the season.
The Bears could also take a page from the 49ers’ script when they defeated the same squad during last season’s Divisional Round.
If Chicago wins over Green Bay, Fields will have to think of another cool celebration.
