Even if you’re a huge fan of them, you must admit that the New York Knicks are an absolute mess this season.
This all came to a head on Wednesday night when the team gave up a massive 28-point lead to fall to the Brooklyn Nets at home.
Understandably, people are very upset with the Knicks right now and are crying for head coach Tom Thibodeau to be fired.
But Knick lead star Julius Randle isn’t having any of it.
Julius Randle defends Tom Thibodeau:
"Coach is amazing. I'm riding with coach every day. He challenges us and prepares us very well every day. His message is still ringing clear in the locker room, we've just got to execute." pic.twitter.com/z4uuyxrril

Speaking to the press after the game, Randle showed his allegiance to Thibodeau, saying:
“Coach is amazing. I’m riding with Coach every day. He challenges us and prepares us very well every day. His message is still ringing clear in the locker room, we’ve just got to execute.”
Randle might feel that way but the facts suggest Thibodeau is at risk of losing his job.
Days Are Numbered?
The Knicks are currently near the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a record of 25-34.
Only the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, and Orlando Magic are doing worse than the Knicks.
This is even more painful when Knicks fans remember that the team was fourth in the standings last year.
The complete collapse the Knicks have experienced is due to multiple factors but Thibodeau’s work really is a major part of it.
The chances of the front office not doing anything with the team are very slim.
If the record continues to embarrass, Thibodeau should be prepared to be let go.
In fact, Randle should ready himself to leave New York as well.
The Knicks are so bad that truly anyone might be on the chopping block.
