The Seattle Mariners‘ walk-off victory against the Atlanta Braves on Sunday keeps producing some noise.
It was an impressive affair in which Seattle got to the ninth inning leading 6-2, lost the lead and went to the bottom part of that inning down 7-6, and then hit two solo home runs to tie and win the game, respectively.
Third baseman Eugenio Suarez walked things off, but before that, Julio Rodriguez had tied the game with his own solo blast against Kenley Jansen.
That was his second homer of the day.
After the game, J-Rod, who is quickly becoming a fan favorite in Seattle, had a message for fans.
“We are here to compete, he says,” and Ms fans probably never felt so pumped in their lives.

Rodriguez thanked fans for going to watch the team and promised they will be competitive.
The Mariners Are As Tough As They Come
There are lots of teams with a better record than the Mariners.
Others have more home runs, while others have multiple Cy Young winners on their staff.
It doesn’t matter: Seattle will be there to compete, and they will be the team that no one wants to face in the postseason.
They have a top-tier rotation with former Cy Young winners (Robbie Ray), candidates (Luis Castillo), and two promising young pitchers in George Kirby and Logan Gilbert.
Their bullpen is outstanding, and of course, Rodriguez is there to lead the offense.
The leading candidate to win the AL Rookie of the Year award is slashing .277/.340/.494 with 25 blasts, 24 steals, and 4.5 Wins Above Replacement (WAR).
It’s an exciting time to be a Mariners fan.
They deserve it, after not making the playoffs since 2001.
