Though the Washington Nationals had a night to forget in Atlanta, there was one thing worth remembering.
Juan Soto made a little history at Truist Park on Tuesday night.
With the Nationals trailing the Atlanta Braves 11-1 in the top of the sixth inning, Soto crushed a cut-fastball from reliever Bryce Elder into the right field seats for his 100th career home run.
And Soto made sure to leave no doubts about his home run as it ended up traveling a total of 451 feet.
The ball was absolutely crushed and was a no doubter, and though the Nationals lost by a wide margin, Soto at least provided one good moment for them.
No. 100 for Juan Soto went 451 feet 😲

Absolutely Crushed To Make History
Could Soto have possibly hit this any harder?
This ball was torched out to right field.
Soto’s tremendous power comes in handy in situations such as these.
The way he can crush a baseball is unlike few in the game today.
There was never any doubt about this ball leaving the ballpark.
Now that Soto is at 100 career home runs, he can turn his focus to the 200-homer milestone.
More are certain to come if Soto keeps up his trend of absolutely demolishing baseballs.
He isn’t showing any signs of stopping.
The question is, will the Nationals be able to retain him when he becomes a free agent so that he can continue to crush baseballs in a Nats uniform?
The fans in Washington would certainly want that.
This man can flat out hit and being a part of a milestone is always fun for any player or team.
We’ll see what comes next for Soto.
His power is comparable to that of a young Albert Pujols, and he certainly has a bright future ahead of him.
