The trade deadline will be here before we know it.
Juan Soto is the talk of the town as speculation continues to surround him and whether or not the Washington Nationals will ultimately trade him.
Will he end up with the San Diego Padres?
What about the Los Angeles Dodgers?
Do the St. Louis Cardinals have a chance to acquire him?
These are all unknowns as we enter the final two days of the deadline period.
You can bet that these rumors have been exhausting for Soto.
Nationals insider Jesse Dougherty tweeted an update on the situation and how Soto is feeling about all the rumors as the deadline draws nearer.
As he said in LA, Juan Soto told reporters this evening that he’s ready for Tuesday night to be here so he knows his future one way or the other. Said it will feel like a fresh start either here or somewhere else.

Trade Deadline Palooza
It’s certainly been a whirlwind for Soto.
He’s ready for all of this to be over.
He wants to have a clear grasp on his future, whether he’s with the Nationals or if he ends up somewhere else.
We forget how exhausting this time of year is for the players.
While it’s fun for us writers to cover all of this stuff, it’s overwhelming for the players, as they don’t know where they’ll end up.
They want all of this to be over because it’s just a distraction.
They’re constantly left wondering if they’ll stay put or if they’ll be traded, and if they’re traded, where.
It’s stressful for the players, and it doesn’t help for them to hear all the analysts talking about trade rumors with their names constantly being brought up.
One way or another, by the end of this, Soto will have a firm grasp on his immediate future and whether he’ll remain a National or if he’ll ultimately be suiting up for another team.
