Trade rumors have begun to circulate about Washington Nationals superstar Juan Soto.
After it was revealed that Soto had turned down a $15-year, $440 million contract offer from the Nationals, the rumors began to heat up and now it looks as if the Nationals are going to trade Soto at the deadline.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, as they usually are when a marquee player becomes a trade target, have become a team worth watching in the Soto sweepstakes.
Last night, Soto took the field for the National League during the All-Star Game.
One fan tweeted a video of Dodgers fans chanting “Future Dodger” his way.

“FUTURE DODGER!”
It could very well happen, though most fans around the league are really hoping that it doesn’t come to fruition.
But as always, the Dodgers are a team that will be in on these sweepstakes.
They certainly have the prospects to pull it off and the financial resources to sign him to a massive contract extension.
It’s still a surprise to many that he turned down 15 years for $440 million less than a week ago.
But who’s to say that the Dodgers can’t make an offer worth even more than that?
What would stop them from even trying to offer him $500 million.
That would be the largest deal ever signed by a player.
But of course, Soto has to be traded to Los Angeles before that can happen.
Him being traded seems like a formality at this point, rather than just speculation.
The Nationals are well out of contention and the Dodgers have the best record in the NL.
We’ll see what ends up happening as the trade deadline continues to approach us.
