Although Jrue Holiday and the Milwaukee Bucks took a very early exit in the 2023 NBA playoffs, they got some exciting news on Tuesday.
Holiday was named to the NBA’s 2022-23 All-Defensive First Team, and as a result, he’s going to take home a nice bonus.

Defensive accolades are nothing new for Holiday, as he’s now a five-time All-Defense honoree.
The 32-year-old has established himself as one of the best defensive guards in all of basketball, which has made him an extremely valuable piece of Milwaukee’s puzzle.
Although Holiday and the Bucks had a postseason to forget after running into Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in the first round this year, the future still looks bright for Milwaukee, and the team should be in title contention next season.
Of course, Holiday has already helped the Bucks win one title, as his defense played a huge role in Milwaukee’s run to the 2021 NBA championship.
In this year’s playoffs, Holiday struggled at times to defend Butler, but All-Defense is a regular-season honor, and he certainly earned the nod during that period of time.
The veteran was also named to the All-Star Game for the second time in his career this season, so all things considered, he checked some pretty impressive boxes during the 2022-23 campaign.
Now, he can look ahead to the 2023-24 season.
Holiday and his Bucks teammates certainly have no shortage of motivation to silence the doubters after the way the team’s series against the Heat ended.NEXT: Fans React To What Giannis Antetokounmpo Said Today
