After the New York Jets acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers, the storied NFL franchise was instantly thrust into the title-contending conversation in the NFL, with the team looking as well-rounded as any in the league.
Although Rodgers was the missing piece to a potentially potent offense, New York’s defense was already making some noise last season, with cornerback Sauce Gardner making a case as one of the best players in the league at his position.
The Jets are a talented team on both sides of the football and will almost certainly make a case to be a Super Bowl title contender during the 2023 campaign, but they may have a chance to get even better offensively before Week 1.
Four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook is visiting with the team this weekend, and many believe he’ll sign on the dotted line, which makes the Jets that much more imposing.
Joy Taylor of Fox Sports believes that Cook would be a massive addition to an already talented Jets squad via Speak On FS1.

Although the Minnesota Vikings recently released Cook, it wasn’t due to his performance on the field, as it was more about the team simply not wanting to pay him what he wanted and Minnesota failing to trade him.
Cook is coming off his fourth straight Pro Bowl appearance and is still going strong, which means the Jets have a chance to add an elite running back to a backfield that already has a talented young player in Breece Hill.
New York could go from AFC heavyweight to the team to beat in the conference if Cook signs with the team.
