Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen recently announced a partnership with Gillette.
The irony was certainly not lost on Allen, especially given the Bills’ dominance over the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
Josh Allen said he took the Gillette sponsorship partly knowing where the Patriots play… “means a lot” he said with a big smile.

Although this wasn’t likely his primary motivation for taking a sponsorship with the grooming company, knowing that the Patriots play at a stadium named after Gillette had to be a factor in his decision.
During the era of Tom Brady as their quarterback, the Patriots dominated the Bills.
Being that they are inter-division rivals, Brady had the opportunity to play the Bills 36 times, amassing an impressive 33-3 record in those 36 games.
A New Era In Buffalo
Allen is certainly making his presence known when he plays the Patriots.
Although he lost his first three games against the Patriots, he is an impressive 4-1 in their last five meetings.
In these last five games, Allen has dominated the Patriots defense.
He has thrown for 231.2 yards per game, 10 touchdown passes, and only one interception.
If Allen and the Bills stick to their current trajectory, they are on track to continue their strong play against the Patriots.
The Bills currently lead the AFC East with a 9-3 record, compared to the Patriots at 6-6.
For the time being, it appears that the two teams have flip-flopped their positions in the division.
Will the Bills continue their strong play, not only against the division but against the whole league as well?
Or will Bill Belichick and the Patriots finally figure out their game plan post-Tom Brady?
