It seemed clear that John Wall’s time with the Los Angeles Clippers was coming to an end.
The veteran guard was producing 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists a game during his few months with LA but he wasn’t having the impact that was desired.
And the team has been struggling to reach its potential so a move for Wall seemed inevitable.
But few people expected this one.

It is being reported that Wall is being traded to the Houston Rockets as part of a three-team trade with the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers.
This is of course very ironic because the Rockets are the team that Wall came from when he traveled over to the Clippers.
He only officially played one season with the Rockets, the 2020-21 season, and it didn’t go very well.
He was still coming back from an injury and didn’t fit well in the lineup so he was benched as the front office attempted to find a suitable trade partner to take him.
Wall eventually came over to the Clippers, where he was supposed to be a pivotal part of the team’s new big three consisting of him, Paul Geroge, and Kawhi Leonard.
It didn’t work out that way and now Wall is on his way again.
However, it’s not clear if the Rockets will retain Wall, waive him, buy him out, or keep him moving to yet another team.
It’s clear that he doesn’t really have a spot in Houston and it’s also clear he wasn’t very happy there.
So will the two sides part ways again?
Is this just a brief stop for Wall before he finds his next NBA home?
