Fans of the Los Angeles Clippers weren’t sure what they were going to get when the team added John Wall.
Remember, the man hasn’t played basketball in a year due to him being benched by his team last season as they attempted to find a trade suitor.
Also, he’s been in the league for some time – are his glory days behind him?

It’s still too early to tell just how influential and pivotal Wall will be in the regular season but his preseason output has been promising.
It’s also been fun to watch.
The other night, in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wall traveled all the way down the court for an easy layup.
He looked youthful, fast, athletic, and eager to impress the fans of his new team.
Is Wall really back?
Wall To Wall Greatness
Wall’s career average is currently 19.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 9.1 assists.
Those numbers led to him being a central figure with the Washington Wizards for many years.
Things didn’t go as well for Wall when he moved to the Rockets and he got injured, played for just 40 games the next season, and then sat out all of 2021-22.
So, it’s been years since he has played more than 50 games.
He isn’t seen as the centerpiece for the Clippers, as that responsibility falls on Kawhi Leonard.
Instead, Wall will be part of the team’s big three alongside Leonard and Paul George.
That means he needs to be a role player and support those two guys.
Plays like the coast-to-coast bucket seen above would greatly assist the Clippers in the new season.
He doesn’t need to be as good as he once was but Wall will have to be an important part of LA’s offense.
