The Baltimore Ravens are playing the waiting game with Lamar Jackson.
The superstar quarterback recently revealed that he requested to be traded, but the team has refused to engage in those talks.
As a matter of fact, John Harbaugh recently told Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated that the negotiations with him are ongoing and that he fully expects Jackson to be the team’s QB next season.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh calls Lamar Jackson’s negotiation an “Ongoing process. I’m following it very closely, just like everyone else.” Asked if he believes Jackson will be his quarterback, Harbaugh responds, “I do.”
Adds his relationship with Lamar is in a good place.

Harbaugh also claims that his relationship with Jackson is as good as ever, regardless of all the controversy surrounding the situation.
Jackson has represented himself throughout this negotiation process, and he’s made it clear that he won’t take a single guaranteed penny less than what other similar players have gotten in their recent deals.
But the Ravens seem to hold all the leverage in this situation, with several players stating that there’s actually an ongoing collusion against Jackson to try and make an example out of him.
The quarterback market has been blown out of proportion, and players are getting generational money on their latest deals, so owners would love to do something about that.
Also, Jackson has failed to finish the past two seasons due to injuries, and there will always be injury concerns with a dual-threat quarterback like him.
However, with all due respect, there’s no way Daniel Jones is making $45 million a year, and Jackson can’t get his market worth.
He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and regardless of what Harbaugh says, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be willing to suit up for them ever again.
