At this point, it’s been pretty well established that Joey Votto is an all-around great person in addition to being one of the best pure hitters the game has ever seen.
The Cincinnati Reds star joined Twitter and Instagram prior to the season and has been winning the world of social media.
Unfortunately, the Reds have endured a horrendous season and Votto is currently out for the year after undergoing surgery on a torn rotator cuff.
But Votto is still putting his time to good use.
While he may not be able to play, he’s been in the stands at Great American Ballpark and taking time to meet fans and get to know them, even signing some autographs for children.
“A man of the people.” 🥺
Joey Votto spent time greeting and speaking with fans in the stands tonight during the Reds game.
Votto is currently on the IL so he isn’t active to play in the game.

A Man Of The People
We hear the expression, “Man of the people” used a ton when professional athletes take time out of their day to speak to fans.
But Votto truly is a man of the people.
This is such a nice gesture by a fan-favorite in Cincinnati.
Reds fans obviously adore him for having been one of the greatest players to ever wear the Reds uniform, but now they love him even more for devoting time for them.
Not many people can say they met a superstar, but any Reds fan who has been in attendance for a game over the last few days can.
It must be a dream come true for anybody who got a chance to meet him.
We always hope that professional athletes will be gracious to fans.
Most usually are, and Votto is definitely a part of that group.
If fans didn’t love him already, they sure do now.
When you hear that Votto is a man of the people, you had better believe it.
