Joey Votto, much like his team, the Cincinnati Reds, is in a big slump.
The team is 3-16 to start the season, the worst record in Major League Baseball.
In his first 62 at-bats of the season, Votto is hitting for a dismal .129 batting average.
He has also yet to go deep and his driven in only three runs.
Needless to say, it’s been a rough go of things lately for him and the Reds.
But that doesn’t slow down his Twitter game at all.
He’s been winning the internet ever since he joined social media not too long ago.
In fact, he had the perfect tweet to sum up his slump, posting a GIF of Charlie Brown missing the football when Lucy pulled it out from under him.
How hitting feels sometimes. That’s Lucy reading your stats to you. pic.twitter.com/w9Jj6ydLck

Lucy: Licensed Hitting Coach
Sometimes, that’s what hitting is like.
You think you’ve got it all mapped out, but you don’t.
It sometimes feels like other forces are at play.
For Votto, this is a perfect way to sum up his slump and also continue to dominate social media.
The best part about it is that after Charlie Brown falls, Lucy reads a sheet of paper to him.
In his case, it’s almost like Lucy is reading Votto’s current stats as he continues to fight through his slump dazed and confused.
He may be in a slump at the plate, but on Twitter, he’s batting .1000.
Nothing can stop this man on social media.
No matter what happens on the field, he’ll continue to dominate the internet and win fans over with his funny tweets.
We’ll see if Lucy reading stats to him can get him going again.
Perhaps this is the perfect tweet to pull him out of his funk.
