True MLB stars inspire respect from all teams, not just their fan base.
Cincinnati Reds slugger Joey Votto is, by definition, a true MLB star.
Not only has he been performing at a high level for 15 years, but he is also a fun-loving character who enjoys the game as much as anybody.
He is always in a good mood, sharing moments with fans, and now he is even more involved in social media.
He praises fellow stars, he respects the competition, and he plays the game the right way.
His latest appearance on Twitter has him sharing a few moments with a young Chicago Cubs fan.

The Reds and Cubs play in the same division and, when both were more competitive, enjoyed many on-field battles.
They are rivals, but that doesn’t matter: baseball is bigger than everything, even rivalries.
And it’s good to see a legitimate star like Votto sharing moments with fans from other teams: it sets a nice example of admiration and mutual respect.
Votto Has Rebounded After A Horrible Start To The Season
As for Votto, he is trying to prove he still has some thump left in his lefty bat.
After an horrendous start of the season and a stint on the COVID-19 injured list, he has returned and played much, much better.
Before Friday’s games, he is slashing .224/.342/.398 with six homers and 25 RBI.
However, since May 20, the day he returned from the list, he is hitting .283/.381/.551 with all six long-balls.
Evidently, he was affected by the virus or just didn’t have it to start the year.
He is back to being the feared slugger he has been for his entire career.
