Many athletes are on social media and love to share their experiences and thoughts about certain things.
Others prefer a quieter life, away from all the drama of social media.
To each their own, but social media is constantly growing, with more people joining each day.
This was a trend that Cincinnati Reds star Joey Votto has decided to become a part of.
Votto shared a video that was put out on Twitter by the Reds’ official Twitter page, announcing that he would be joining social media and trying to be more “social”.
Votto announced that he looks forward to meeting more people and that he plans on sharing information about each and every one of his meals.

Welcome to social media, Joey Votto.
It’s always nice when somebody decides to make their presence known on social media.
Votto was obviously joking about the meal part, as he said at the end that he will never share photos and captions of those.
But social media definitely gained a great presence today.
Other than meals, it’s anyone’s guess as to what Votto will share.
Will it be photos or videos of him taking swings in the batting cages?
Will it be game highlights?
Or will it just be some random videos?
The entire sports world and social media world waits to see what Votto has in store for us.
Surely, it’ll be exciting content, right?
Votto has always been a guy who has had a great sense of humor, so let’s hope that there’s some humor involved on his socials.
