It’s not easy playing against Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, even for the best NBA superstars in the world.
But imagine being just some basketball fan playing at a local court and going toe-to-toe with Embiid.
That sounds like a recipe for true embarrassment at the hands of a five-time All-Star.

This is exactly what happened the other day as Embiid took to a local court to play against some enthusiastic fans.
You would think he could go easy on the players but he sure didn’t.
In fact, Embiid clowned on his opponents and even bounced the ball off a player’s head.
He followed up that embarrassing move with a dunk over the rest of the guys.
This was easy work for someone like Embiid but it was a moment the other players will never forget.
Embiid In Summer Mode
Embiid just came off one of his best seasons yet, averaging 30.6 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
He did so well, in fact, that he was the 2021-22 scoring champion for the year, beating out other greats such as LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
But he was still disappointed by the season because it didn’t end with his ultimate goal: a Finals victory.
Sadly, the big man got injured and although he did return to the postseason after missing a few games, his 76ers struggled to make it as far as expected.
Embiid has wanted to win a ring since entering the league and he has been very frustrated by his team’s lack of progress.
But things have seemingly been coming together lately for Philly, with the addition of James Harden, the explosion of growth for Embiid, and a group of role players on the roster looking to help.
It’s good that he’s enjoying his time off because the new season could be huge for Embiid.
