The Philadelphia 76ers are the third-best team in the East, sitting in a strong spot as the postseason rapidly approaches.
Of course, they have been in this situation before and have fallen apart in the playoffs so fans aren’t convinced this year will be any different.
They have been showing some troubles during the last few games (they’ve lost two in a row) and Joel Embiid has taken note.
Embiid touched upon the problems of the team recently and knows how to fix them: belief.
Joel Embiid said the team has to be perfect and that they haven't been these last 2.5 games. So, asked Embiid what makes him believe that the Sixers can be perfect when the games really start to matter: pic.twitter.com/Do0EtFzYD6

“I believe in myself,” Embiid said, as shared above by Austin Krell.
He continued: “I believe that we, as a team, we have everything we need. It’s all about us. Everything being on point, everybody doing their job.”
He concluded: “I believe in myself, and I believe in us.”
It is really good to hear Embiid speak so highly of his team and their abilities.
But they need to convert all of this faith and belief into more wins and a sustained string of success in the postseason.
The 76ers are hoping they can do more than just have a good regular season.
Just a couple of years ago, they ended the year as the top team in the East but they still didn’t make it to the NBA Finals.
This year was supposed to be different – and Embiid has always said he’d be at the center of it all.
The six-time All-Star is producing 33 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists a game in 2022-23.
Those are some of the best numbers of his career.
Meanwhile, players such as James Harden, Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, and others have been creating a lot of success for the 76ers.
They are poised for greatness in the playoffs – but they have been before.
Will a stronger belief in themselves really change things this time?
