One of the best stories of this NBA season has been the resurgence of Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Of course, Embiid has never been bad but this year he is averaging a wild 30.4 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists a game.
Beyond the numbers, he is playing with a newfound determination, drive, and ability to lead his team.
Embiid is finally the player that fans have been hoping for.
He’s also on his way to securing his first NBA scoring title, despite tough competition.

Right now, Embiid has the highest average with 30.424 points per game.
He is followed by LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers with 30.268 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks with 30.078 points.
However, is this now Embiid’s title to lose?
Embiid Empowered
Ever since entering the NBA, people have expected the very best from Embiid.
A player like him only comes around every once in a while.
However, many have admitted that he could improve his game even though he was already supremely talented.
This year he has certainly taken up a notch and is playing better than before.
The scoring title would just be a cherry on top of the wonderful season he’s had.
There is a good chance that he pull this off in the end.
Antetokounmpo could pull from behind but James might be out of the running.
That’s because the Lakers are officially out of playoff contention and James still needs to play in two more games to qualify for the scoring title.
If James decides to sit, Embiid has a huge advantage.
Even if he doesn’t win, Embiid should be very proud of the season he’s had.
